Merkaban?

I bought these lovely beads, and, once I had them in my hands, they made me think of Van Gogh's "Starry Night." They are so clear I had trouble getting my camera to focus on them.

One question: does anyone know what a merkaban is?

Spring is here!

For some reason, Spring makes me want to make earrings. I've started buying beads in bright colors, and I'm planning to sit down and make several pairs this week. I found the most interesting beads that are almost star shaped, and I've got a few colors of CZ to make into drop earrings, too.
